Canadian Tax Information
Canadian income tax return information is easy to find if you look for the CRA website. CRA, or Canada Revenue Agency, has all sorts of income tax information.
Canadian tax information is more than just your social insurance number and T4 slips. Income tax information in Canada means your return, your investment information, and your provincial tax information. The Canadian tax laws are also important to learn and follow. The Canada Revenue Agency has stiff fines for late and fraudulent tax returns.
Canadian tax return information has many parts. When you finish your return, you need to include your T4s, student loan interest information, childcare information, investment information, and charitable donation receipts. If there are any other receipts, such as fuel, which you are using as deductions, you need to include those as well.

If you are a Canadian citizen but do not live in Canada, income tax information is still easy to obtain. On the website, there is a link to a 2007 Information Kit that has everything you need to know on Canada tax information. This kit is broken into two major sections: business and individual. Knowing what you are filing under, you can choose which major section to look for information.
The individual section is broken down into seven sections. It explains what is new for individuals, the 2006 income tax changes, service options, tax deductions, benefits and credits, general information and help for filing your income tax return. Some of the tax deductions an individual can make are childcare expenses, employment expenses and medical expenses. A few of the benefits and credits are universal childcare benefits, child tax benefit, charitable donations, and GST/HST tax credit.
The business section is broken down into five sections. It too has general information, what is new for businesses, the 2006 income tax changes, and service options. What is different about this section is that is contains information for starting a business. This section tells you the types of businesses, applying for a business number and a GST number so that you can charge GST, businesses that import or export goods, and experimental development and scientific research organizations.
This kit is important to read as it has all sorts of interesting information that can help in the filing of your tax return. Not knowing what you can deduct can cost you a little money. However, knowing what you can deduct can give you a refund you will enjoy receiving.
